Anime
Some of it I grew up on, some of it I finished out of sheer stubbornness, and two of them genuinely changed how I think about something. One film I have watched more than ten times and still cannot leave alone.

What I grew up on
Ninja Hattori
Pokémon
Different kinds of important
These four are not a ranking. One is my favourite, two changed how I think about something, and one I just keep going back to. Those are different things and I would rather keep them apart.
Hajime no Ippo
I see myself in Ippo — similar problems, similar upbringing — and boxing is how he gets through his. He does not cheat or take shortcuts, he just does honest work, and that is the part I like. I like the fighting itself too. What it actually taught me is that you need something you care about that much, because it will take you further than you thought you could get.
Attack on Titan

One of the most beautiful fictional stories I have experienced. Levi is my favourite character, but what actually stayed with me is what it made me think about hatred and collective blame.
Read the connected writingVinland Saga
The philosophy underneath the violence. It changed how I think about resentment and forgiveness, and it is the reason I have a lot of respect for pacifism even though I am not much good at it.
Your Name
Time travel is part of the appeal, but the red thread is what actually keeps pulling me back — the idea that two people are already connected before they ever meet. It can bend and twist and it still never forgets its purpose. Somewhere out there is someone I am already tied to.
What stayed with me
One specific thing each, rather than an opinion about the whole show.
Forest of Piano
Built around classical piano, which is what I listen to anyway — Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Chopin.
Initial D
As much about the car culture as the story. The Toyota AE86 is one of my favourite old-school cars.
My Hero Academia
Deku's character development is the part I like.
The Seven Deadly Sins
Meliodas's story is the one that resonated.
Overlord
The king of isekai, as far as I am concerned.
Re:Zero
I find it depressing. I also think it is a good isekai.
Everything else I have watched
Mostly without an opinion I would bother writing down. A fair amount of it is very long.

Demon Slayer
Yu Yu Hakusho

Naruto Shippuden

Dragon Ball Z
Dragon Ball GT
Dragon Ball Daima
Dragon Ball Super: Broly

Writing
One piece so far.
Somebody has to stop passing it on
Two shows about revenge that left me with an idea I agree with and mostly fail to live up to.
